The latest recording of our Ask ITOOSOFT livestream is now available, so If you missed it live, you can now catch up on the in-depth explanations we shared about how to use our new ForestIvy plugin.

The livestream kicked off with an overview of ForestIvy, included in the latest update to our environment creation toolset for 3ds Max. We covered how to use the built-in presets, how to limit by Material IDS, and how to do some basic animation.

This had been covered before in a dedicated tutorial, so we didn't dwell on it for too long before jumping into a detailed walkthrough of how to create your own growing plants from scratch. Along the way we explain nearly every setting in the ForestIvy plugin so you create your own unique ivy styles or simply modify the presets to suit your specific needs. 

In addition to Forest Ivy, we discussed some other key features introduced in Forest Pack 9. For instance, the ability to use multiple UV channels, how to scatter on stacked splines, for example to populate balconies, and how to convert objects in the geometry list to a ForestSet. We also covered improvements to point cloud display, including how you can adjust the default number of points used for a preview by editing the forestpack.ini document.
