The objective was to contextualise a settlement of houses consisting of a framework of hole-set posts, wattle and daub walls and straw-thatched roofs as part of a much larger environment.

There are 50 Forest Pro objects in the scene and even the thatched roofs were made by distributing bundles of straw with Forest Pack. Originally I planned to create several LODs for some meshes, but in the end distributing high-poly assets everywhere was so easy that I didn't need to worry. So the trees are the same throughout the scene, even the fields consist of barley plants far more detailed than is strictly necessary for this distance.

Forest Pack enabled me to fill my scene with a massive amount of geometry, and light and render it in one go."
